O portal US News sitúa á UVigo como a máis prestixiosa de Europa no ámbito da Ciencia e Tecnoloxía Alimentaria no seu ranking de universidades globais.
A UVigo acada unha puntuación temática de 74.4 (a comparar co resultado global da universidade, de 41.8, que a sitúa coma a institución número 795 a nivel global), lonxe aínda do seguinte resultado en Europa, un 71.8 que garante o posto número 14 para a Universidade de Wageningen, en Holanda.
O top 20 da clasificación está dominada por entidades chinesas, que só deixan espazo para dúas universidades estadounidenses e dúas europeas.

The US News portal ranks UVigo as the most prestigious in Europe in the field of Food Science and Technology, an area in which the AA1 Group is a benchmark.
UVigo achieves a thematic score of 74.4 (compared with the university’s global result of 41.8, which places it as the 795th institution worldwide), well ahead of the next result in Europe, a 71.8 which guarantees 14th place for Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
The top 20 of the ranking is dominated by Chinese institutions, which only leave space for two American and two European universities.
