The event was a valuable opportunity to establish networks, foster the exchange of knowledge, connections and synergies between projects funded by the CBE JU, Horizon Europe and other projects funded through various EU funding mechanisms.

PROMISEANG is focused on the recovery of by-products from marine industries for the development of new applications for human and animal feed, as well as non-food uses (such as cosmetics), was presented by Dr. Celia Costas before an audience of other projects chosen to represent the values of the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), a collaboration between the European Union and the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) for the funding of innovative and competitive circular economy projects in the field of bio-based industries.

PROMISEANG will enter its final year of implementation in September 2026, having started in September 2023 and with a budget of over €4.5M.
