{"id":2518,"date":"2025-11-19T12:52:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-19T12:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aa1.es\/?p=2518"},"modified":"2025-11-20T17:56:53","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T17:56:53","slug":"university-of-vigo-receives-a-delegation-of-the-chinese-academy-of-agricultural-sciences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aa1.es\/?p=2518","title":{"rendered":"University of Vigo receives a delegation of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This week, Universidade de Vigo has received a new visit from a delegation of Chinese researchers that strengthens its collaboration on matters of agri-food innovation with the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The researchers Jesus Simal-Gandara and Jianbo Xiao welcomed a distinguished group of researchers from the Institute of Food Science and Technology from the CAAS, led by Professor Qiang Wang on a two-day scientific visit scheduled for September 20\u201321, 2025. The delegation also includes Prof. Aimin Shi, Ms. Jinjin Zhu, and, Mr. Fei Xiang, and focuses on improving China-EU scientific &amp; technological collaboration to drive sustainable solutions for innovation on the development of plant proteins and sustainable food systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"886\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2519\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image.png 886w, https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 886px) 100vw, 886px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><i>Prof. Simal and Jianbo Xiao with the visitors of the <\/i><em style=\"font-style: italic\">CAAS<\/em> <em>delegation<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During their stay, the visitors will have the opportunity to engage in a series of meetings, lab tours, and working sessions with local researchers, anchored by prof. Simal-Gandara and Jianbo Xiao, both leading figures in UVigo\u2019s Agro-environmental and food science research, and both recognised as Highly Cited Researchers (HCRs) several times amongst in the last years. Professor Qiang Wang is a key figure in the field, and counts with decades of research leadership, therefore strengthening the delegation\u2019s ability to establish long-term institutional projects and capacity-building initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"886\" height=\"664\" src=\"https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2520\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-1.png 886w, https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-1-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/aa1.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/image-1-768x576.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 886px) 100vw, 886px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>A picture of the visitors with some AA1 researchers<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Qiang Wang is a key figure in the field, and counts with decades of research leadership, therefore strengthening the delegation\u2019s ability to establish long-term institutional projects and capacity-building initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this visit, AA1 group establishes its role in contributing towards the establishment of UVigo as a European hub for innovation in sustainable agriculture, food safety and other related areas. Under the guidance of prof.
